Sophie, from Switzerland, had always dreamt of traveling abroad. On her 16th birthday, her parents surprised her with a trip to London. She excitedly packed her luggage, making sure her favorite suitcase was ready for the adventure.
On the day of her departure, a van came for a pickup to take her to the ticket office. There, a long queue had formed, with eager passengers waiting to book their journeys. Sophie approached the counter and purchased a ticket for a ferry that would take her across the Channel.
Upon arrival in London, she was greeted by her tour guide, James, who would take her and a group of tourists on a guided tour around the city. They traveled in a spacious coach, and Sophie sat next to a friendly elderly couple who told her about a scenic canal ride they had taken the previous day.
One afternoon, the group took a cruise ship to see the city from the water. The crew was fantastic, ensuring that everyone had an amazing time. As they sailed through the harbour, Sophie saw an ambulance rushing on the nearby motorway, reminding her of the importance of staying safe while traveling.
On the third day, they visited the mountains outside the city. Sophie experienced a terrific ride on a chairlift, providing her with a brilliant view of the landscape below. She even ventured through a long tunnel that connected two sides of a mountain.
Sophie tried various foods during her trip, finding some dishes delicious while others were downright disgusting. However, she fondly remembered asking the way to a local bakery, where she tasted the most fantastic pastries.
Her journey was far from dull. Even the dreadful rain on one of the days couldn’t dampen her spirits. For Sophie, the trip was a mix of terrific highs and some horrible lows, like when she momentarily lost her suitcase. But all in all, her journey was nothing short of brilliant.
